GAF Certified Plus Roofing in Missouri
As a GAF Certified Plus contractor in Missouri, SRA Roofing & Gutters can register GAF's System Plus and Silver Pledge limited warranties on qualifying roofs. You can get them through SRA Roofing & Gutters and Luecke's Roofing across Southwest and Mid-Missouri.
The two warranties protect against different problems. System Plus covers qualifying material defects, while Silver Pledge adds GAF-backed coverage for installation errors. That gives you a clearer way to compare what is covered before you choose the roofing system and warranty that fit your home.

What GAF Certified Plus Means
A GAF Certified Plus contractor is a roofing company that GAF has certified to offer two of its enhanced residential warranties: the System Plus Limited Warranty and the Silver Pledge Limited Warranty.
GAF sorts the roofers who install its shingles into three certification levels. Each level unlocks a different set of warranties:
- GAF Certified: System Plus
- GAF Certified Plus: System Plus and Silver Pledge
- GAF Master Elite®: every GAF enhanced warranty, including Golden Pledge®
Certified Plus is the middle level. GAF issued SRA's certificate to SRA Roofing & Gutters.
Note: GAF-certified roofers are independent businesses, not GAF employees. GAF doesn't supervise the crew on your roof. What the certification gets you is access to warranties that GAF itself stands behind.
GAF is one of several SRA manufacturer certifications, and each one unlocks something different.
Two GAF Warranties, Two Different Jobs
Most homeowners hear "GAF warranty" and picture one thing. On an SRA roof, you choose between two, and they protect against different failures.
System Plus: Protection for the Materials
System Plus covers manufacturing defects in your GAF roofing system.
- 50 years non-prorated. GAF calls this the Smart Choice Protection period. During it, you don't lose coverage value as the roof ages.
- Labor, tear-off, and disposal are covered when a defective GAF product has to be replaced.
- Qualifies with Timberline® shingles plus at least three qualifying GAF-branded accessories, such as starter strip, ridge cap, and roof deck protection.
What System Plus does not cover is workmanship. If the shingle is fine but it was installed wrong, System Plus won't pay.
Silver Pledge: Protection for the Installation
Silver Pledge includes everything in System Plus and adds misapplication coverage. That's GAF's term for workmanship.
If the crew installs GAF products incorrectly, Silver Pledge covers it. It also covers misapplied flashings at valleys, dormers, chimneys, and plumbing vents, where most roof leaks start.
- 10 years of workmanship coverage on Timberline NS, Timberline HDZ®, and Timberline HDZ RS shingles
- 15 years on Timberline AS II, Timberline UHDZ®, and GAF designer shingles
- Qualifies with any Timberline shingle plus at least four qualifying GAF-branded accessories

How GAF Coverage Handles Missouri Weather
Springfield and Southwest Missouri get spring storms with hail and hard straight-line winds. Your GAF warranty treats those two very differently.
Hail is not a warranty matter. GAF's warranties cover manufacturing defects and, with Silver Pledge, installation errors. Hail damage goes through your homeowners insurance. SRA can inspect your roof and give you photos and a written damage report to use with your insurer. You stay in charge of your own claim.
Wind is covered, and installation decides how much.
- Timberline HDZ with LayerLock™ technology qualifies for GAF's WindProven™ Limited Wind Warranty, which has no maximum wind speed. It requires four nails per shingle and four qualifying accessories: starter strip at the eaves and rakes, ridge cap, roof deck protection, and either attic ventilation or leak barrier.
- Other GAF shingles are covered up to 130 mph when installed with six nails per shingle and GAF starter strip at the eaves and rakes.
GAF's wind warranty term is 15 years.
GAF Shingles for a Silver Pledge Roof
Silver Pledge works with any Timberline shingle. Your shingle choice sets the workmanship term: 10 years with Timberline HDZ, HDZ RS, or NS, and 15 years with Timberline UHDZ, AS II, or a GAF designer shingle.
One exception: GAF's 3-tab Royal Sovereign® shingle doesn't qualify for System Plus or Silver Pledge. It carries GAF's standard 25-year shingle warranty only.

Check Any Roofer's GAF Status in Two Minutes
- Look it up. GAF's online verification tool shows whether a roofer is Certified, Certified Plus, or Master Elite.
- Get the warranty name in writing. "GAF warranty" on an estimate could mean the standard 10-year coverage. "Silver Pledge" means something specific.
- Count the accessories. Silver Pledge needs at least four qualifying GAF-branded accessories. Your estimate should list them.

How Your Silver Pledge Roof Comes Together
- Your roof gets documented first. A free inspection gives you photos and a written report of your roof's current condition. That record is yours to keep.
- You ask for System Plus or Silver Pledge. Your estimate then names the warranty, the shingle, and each GAF accessory required to qualify. Without an upgrade request, your roof carries GAF's standard coverage.
- The crew installs a full GAF system. Shingles go down with the qualifying starter strip, ridge cap, deck protection, and ventilation or leak barrier.
- The leak-prone details get the attention. Valleys, chimneys, dormers, and plumbing vents are the flashings Silver Pledge covers, and they're where an installation error shows up first.
- Your warranty gets registered. Your SRA company registers the GAF warranty after the install, and you receive the certificate.

No. Certified Plus is GAF's middle certification level, and Master Elite is the top. A Certified Plus contractor can offer the System Plus and Silver Pledge warranties. Only a Master Elite contractor can offer Golden Pledge.
