IKO ROOFPRO Craftsman Premier
IKO ROOFPRO Contractor Missouri | SRA Roofing & Gutters
SRA Roofing & Gutters is an IKO ROOFPRO Craftsman Premier contractor. That lets our Missouri roofing companies extend IKO's Iron Clad Protection by 5 years or more, depending on the shingle you choose. Pick the shingle, and you've picked the protection.
IKO ROOFPRO Craftsman Premier Roofing in Missouri
As an IKO ROOFPRO contractor in Missouri, SRA Roofing & Gutters holds IKO's Craftsman Premier level, so our companies can offer IKO's extended Iron Clad Protection limited warranty. Get it through SRA Roofing & Gutters and Luecke's Roofing across the areas we serve.
What matters is what that certification gives you at the estimate table. Your shingle choice determines whether your Iron Clad Protection lasts 15, 20, or 25 years, and qualifying extended coverage can also include tear-off and disposal costs during that period.
You also get a local roofing company helping you sort through those options before the roof goes on.
SRA can show you which shingles qualify, what accessories IKO requires, and what the extended warranty does and does not cover so you can compare the full roofing system, not just the shingle name.
“Our roof looks amazing!!! Megan was wonderful to work with. Thank you so much Megan for taking the time to go over everything with us and helping us pick the right color of shingles.”
What IKO ROOFPRO Craftsman Premier Means
An IKO ROOFPRO Craftsman Premier contractor is a roofing company at one of the two levels of IKO's ROOFPRO program, Select and Craftsman Premier, that can offer homeowners IKO's extended Iron Clad Protection limited warranty.
IKO is open about what ROOFPRO is: a contractor loyalty program. Members pay IKO annual fees and commit to buying IKO products. In return, contractors at the Select and Craftsman Premier levels can offer the extended warranty.
Craftsman Premier is the higher of those two levels. Both levels unlock the same extended warranty. The difference is in the contractor's standing with IKO, not in the coverage on your roof.
IKO is one of several SRA manufacturer certifications, and each one covers something different.
Your Shingle Sets Your Protection
IKO's warranties include an Iron Clad Protection period. That's the early stretch of the warranty when IKO's coverage is strongest.
A ROOFPRO extension makes that period longer, and it adds reasonable tear-off and disposal costs during it.
How much longer depends on the shingle:
| Shingle Class | IKO Lines | Standard Iron Clad Period | ROOFPRO Extension Through SRA | IKO Application Fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Architectural | Cambridge®, Cambridge® Cool Colors™ | 10 years | 15 years | $0 |
| Performance | Dynasty®, Dynasty® Cool Colors™ Plus, Nordic™ | 15 years | 20 years | $75 |
| Designer | Crowne Slate™, Royal Estate™, Armourshake™ | 15 years | 20 years | $75 |
| CodePlus™ system | Dynasty, Dynasty Cool Colors Plus, Nordic | 15 years | 25 years | $75 |
Single-family homes only. Terms, conditions, and installation requirements apply. See IKO's extended limited warranty for complete terms.
The fee column matters for your estimate. IKO charges the contractor $75 to process an extended warranty application, except on Cambridge shingles.
“My roof was complicated with numerous ridges and valleys. SRA Roofing installed it in just a couple of days to my amazement. They were in and out, did an excellent job, left the yard clean and I would recommend them to anyone.”
What the Iron Clad Extension Doesn't Cover
A longer warranty on the shingle is worth it. It's not the same as coverage on the installation.
Workmanship. IKO states in writing that its limited warranties, including the extended ones, don't cover improper installation, and that IKO makes no guarantee about any contractor's work. If a crew misses a nailing line or botches a valley, the IKO warranty won't pay for it.
That's why who installs your IKO roof still matters. On an SRA roof, the installation is covered by SRA's own 5-year workmanship warranty. Annual inspections are required to maintain coverage.
Algae. IKO's algae-resistance warranty stays at 10 years whether or not your warranty is extended.
Hail. Hail damage is a homeowners insurance matter, not a shingle warranty claim. SRA can inspect your roof and give you photos and a written report to use with your insurer, and you stay in charge of your own claim.
Six Things That Decide Whether Your Roof Qualifies
IKO won't extend Iron Clad Protection on just any install. Your roof has to meet these conditions:
IKO also recommends pairing Class 4 impact-rated shingles with its Class 4 hip and ridge caps, and Class 3 shingles with no less than its Class 3 caps. Your estimate should show the match.
- Full tear-off. New shingles go on a clean, dry, stable deck. Shingling over an old layer voids the extension.
- The right pitch and size. The roof has to be 4:12 pitch or steeper and between 10 and 100 squares.
- Balanced attic ventilation. Intake near the eaves and exhaust near the ridge, per the strictest of IKO, industry (ARMA), or local code.
- IKO accessories. At least three qualifying IKO PROFORMAX™ accessories, including IKO hip and ridge cap shingles, are required.
- Installed according to IKO's instructions. Shingles must go on exactly per IKO's printed installation instructions.
- Applied for on time. Your contractor has 90 days after the install to submit the application. Coverage starts once IKO sends you written approval.
If You Might Sell Your Tri-Lakes Home
For a lake house, a second home, or a home you might sell in a few years, read the transfer rules before choosing a shingle.
IKO allows one transfer during the first 15 years. After the transfer, Iron Clad Protection continues only to year 15, without tear-off and disposal coverage. If the home sells after year 12, the Iron Clad period ends, and prorated coverage runs to year 15.
In short, the extra years beyond 15 belong to the original owner. If you plan to stay, a performance shingle's 20-year period pays off. If you plan to sell soon, it matters less.

Confirm a Roofer's IKO Standing
IKO's Find a Contractor tool shows each ROOFPRO member's level. It also flags contractors who've met the extra requirements to install CodePlus.
On your estimate, look for the words "extended Iron Clad Protection" and the shingle line by name.
The full checklist for any certification is on the certifications page.
How Your IKO Roof Comes Together
- We check whether your roof can qualify. A free inspection documents your roof's condition with photos and a written report. It also shows whether the pitch, size, and attic ventilation meet IKO's rules.
- You pick the shingle and ask for the extension. Cambridge, Dynasty, Nordic, or a designer line. Ask for extended Iron Clad Protection, and your estimate names the term that shingle carries.
- The old roof comes off. A full tear-off to the deck is required for the extension.
- The crew installs the IKO system to the manufacturer's instructions. That means the shingles, the required hip and ridge caps, and the qualifying PROFORMAX accessories.
- Your SRA company applies to IKO within 90 days. You receive IKO's written approval, and your coverage dates back to the day the install finished.
“My name is Marie S. and I'm in Branson. My roof and gutters needed replacing, and my neighbor recommended SRA. My client rep. was Trenton Blevins, who got right to work on getting pics and walking me through the whole process, making it so easy for me.”
